Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to several several major on-campus events each year proudly hosted by the CMU Alumni Association. Join us as we honor the CMU alumni, celebrate student milestones and enjoy time together.

In addition to the signature events of Homecoming and Spring Carnival, the Alumni Association plans many other events just for students like you!

Below are some fall events that are open to CMU graduate and undergraduate students.

Fall 2023 Events

Tartan Tuesdays

During the academic year, stop by the Alumni House (5017 Forbes Ave.) on Tuesdays from noon to 5 p.m. to earn special rewards and new swag! Learn more about Tartan Tuesdays. No registration required.

September 17: CMU Night at Pirates

This is your chance to meet alumni from the Pittsburgh Alumni Network and learn more about how you become involved as a student. Plus, you can do it while enjoying the Pirates take on the NY Yankees. Learn more and register.

October 7: Fall Day of Service

This is an opportunity for students to meet and chat with recent alumni while working together to help the community. Learn more on the Day of Service website.

October 7: Scotty Saturday

The Alumni Association will be sponsoring some fun activities during this year’s Scotty Saturday. Check your inbox in late September for more information. Learn more on the Day of Service website.

Likely late October: Industry Insights

This is an opportunity for you to choose an industry area of interest from multiple session options. In these virtual sessions, alumni share real-life work experiences in their chosen industry. Students gain valuable insight and are encouraged to ask probing questions to help them better understand the industry. Learn more on the Industry Insights website.

November 10-11: Homecoming

The Homecoming celebration kicks off with Spirit Day and the Alumni Awards on Friday, followed by tons of fun activities, performances and freebies on Saturday before the evening Homecoming game against Case Western Reserve. Learn more on the Homecoming website

November 16: Andrew Carnegie’s birthday

In honor of Andrew Carnegie’s upcoming birthday on Nov. 25, we invite you to stop by our table in Wean Commons in the CUC to take a picture with Andy, get a special giveaway and have the chance to win a CMU-themed swag bag.
