Event Highlights
A Beloved Tartan Tradition
In spite of a brief rain shower, the 25th annual Boston Clambake went ahead on July 14 as scheduled, much to the delight of over 170 alumni, parents, and students and their families who attended.
The event at Buzzard’s Bay featured CMU camaraderie, fun and food, including a custom cake masterpiece created by Pittsburgh-based cake artist Mary Jo Dowling (A 1983). This milestone celebration, the finale for quarter-century hosts Myron Lewis (S 1954) and DeAnne Rosenberg, welcomed Tartans from the Boston region and as far away as New York, Pittsburgh and Virginia.
The Clambake was a great success, thanks to the work of a devoted group of volunteers from the Boston Network, including the planners ― president Rob Demisch (TPR 2009), Risa Masuda (TPR 2010), Shalini Ray (S 2015, HNZ 2016), Alice Wang (DC 2020) and Haijing Hao (HNZ 2005, 2010, 2012) ― and the individuals who handled Saturday’s set-up and Sunday’s clean-up. Congratulations on a memorable summer celebration!
