Introduction to Japanese II

This course is a sequel to Introduction to Japanese I (82-173) for students with no background in Japanese. Since the course covers the second half of the 82-171 in one semester, it is suitable for those students who need lots of practice time both in and outside class. It continues to further the development of communicative language proficiency through oral practice, aural comprehension, reading, writing, and the study of cultural aspects of Japanese society. The elementary level is also designed to help students learn to reflect upon and draw upon strategies used by good language learners in their second language study.
