About the Conference

PLENARY SPEAKERS:

  • Terry Smith, Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Contemporary Art History and Theory, University of Pittsburgh.  Author of most recently, Contemporary Art: World Currents.
  • Krzysztof Wodiczko, Professor in Residence, Department of Architecture, Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is an artist renowned for his large-scale slide and video projections on architectural facades and monuments.
  • Paul D. ( DJ Spooky) Miller, Media Artist, and Professor of Music Mediated Art at the European Graduate School. He has released over dozen albums, and his media art has been presented at the Whitney Biennial, the Venice Biennial for Architecture, and the Andy Warhol Museum.
