Non-Chemistry Major Applicants

Due to the interdisciplinary approach common in the department, we welcome students from academically diverse backgrounds. It is very helpful to have a strong background through coursework or research experience relevant to ongoing research in the department.

Non-chemistry major applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Program Office (vb0g@andrew.cmu.edu) early in the application process to discuss their specific coursework and preparation.
