Bio

Grace Klein manages the Block Center’s Future of Work Initiative for which she collaborates with CMU researchers and external partners to co-develop policy and communications materials about the impact of emerging technologies on workers and their communities. Grace was a co-author on Southwest Pennsylvania's successful $63M application to the U.S. Department of Commerce Build Back Better Regional Challenge and led a team in writing the 2021 State of Innovation Report for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Previously, Grace worked with the CMU President's office and with urban planning firms in New York City and San Francisco. She earned her master's degree from CMU's Heinz College and her bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College.
