Jonathan joined the Community Enagement and Leadership Development team in April of 2024. In his role, he oversees the operations and development of the CMU Pantry and manages multiple community initiatives aimed at supporting basic needs on campus. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys discovering new local restaurants and small businesses, playing video games, and spending time with friends.

Jenna Manning is an Administrative Assistant II supporting the Office of Student Involvement & Traditions and the Office of Community Engagement and Leadership Development. Within her role, she assists in the oversight and development of a team of student staff assistants who aid in the operation of the front desk of the office. She is also responsible for managing the reservations for both the Nexus of Community Engagement and the Community Engagement Vans, as well as supporting student organizations operations. Outside of the office, Jenna owns and operates a vintage clothing shop in a small business collective, as well as takes part in local flea markets and pop-up events in the community. She also enjoys spending time snuggling with her three cats, writing poetry, and urban exploration in and around Pittsburgh.

Justin joined the Community Engagement and Leadership Development team in May of 2023. His role oversees leadership development and recognition programs—including the Emerging Leaders retreat, The Charpie Leadership Institute, and Senior Leadership Recognition programs. In his free time, Justin can be found backpacking with his dog, playing tennis (badly) and reading.

Maura joined the Community Engagement and Leadership Development team in August of 2025. In her role, she supports a variety of departmental programming, including the Pittsburgh Connections outdoor adventure program, the Emerging Leaders first-year leadership program, and student trainings and workshops. Maura received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2025 and is currently a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh.  In her free time Maura can be found reading, drinking coffee or listening to music!

Liz has held a variety of roles within Student Affairs since joining CMU in 2004. She focuses on supporting the strategic direction of the office, developing and deepening partnerships with community organizations, collaborating with on-campus colleagues to expand student community engagement efforts, and advancing institutional efforts to combat basic needs insecurity. Working directly with students to help them achieve their goals, start a new initiative, or enact change - and building a relationship with them along the way - is her favorite part of working at CMU. Liz also serves as the College Liaison for students in several Intercollege and College of Engineering academic programs. In her free time, you can find Liz spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors or experimenting with a new recipe.
