MSSM, 2027

This is how to say my name:

Why MSSM?

After nearly four years in consulting, I realized that while I enjoyed solving business and technology problems, I wanted greater ownership over the products being built and the customer outcomes they create. The MSSM program stood out because of its unique blend of software management, product leadership, and technical depth. Being based in Silicon Valley also provides an unparalleled opportunity to learn from industry practitioners, collaborate with ambitious peers, and immerse myself in an ecosystem that continually pushes innovation forward.

Education

National University of Singapore; Material Science and Engineering

Experience

Accenture, Management Consultant, 4 Years

What career achievement are you most proud of?

One achievement I am particularly proud of was leading discussions for a national tax platform enhancement involving complex tax filing and accounting scenarios. Stakeholders had differing views on how suspended filings should be processed, and there was significant concern about the downstream impact on financial records. I facilitated workshops, mapped out end-to-end scenarios, and used visual models to explain the accounting implications of each approach. Through these discussions, I helped align business and technical stakeholders on a solution that was both operationally sound and scalable. The experience strengthened my ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation.

What type of role are you looking to obtain after you graduate?

After graduation, I hope to pursue a Product Manager role within the technology industry. My consulting experience has allowed me to work across government, financial services, and product-focused projects, giving me exposure to the software development lifecycle and stakeholder management. However, I am eager to take a more direct role in shaping product vision, defining user experiences, and driving long-term product outcomes. I am particularly interested in products that leverage AI and emerging technologies to solve meaningful customer problems. In the long term, I aspire to become a product leader who can effectively bridge technology, business strategy, and user needs to deliver impactful solutions at scale.
