What unique skills or interests do you bring to the iii?

I bring a unique combination of technical maker spirit and entrepreneurial drive to the iii. My core interest lies in applying contemporary AI to real-world problems through impactful, user-facing products. I’m skilled at rapidly prototyping and iterating on ideas—building functional demos in tight timeframes while leveraging user data to refine both product direction and core technical infrastructure. I bridge fast-paced development with thoughtful, data-informed design decisions, enabling me to take ideas from concept to execution efficiently. Leading cross-functional teams and scaling early-stage projects has allowed me to amplify this ability and deliver impact at a larger scale. Additionally, my background spans AI4Science, mathematical modeling, robotics, and VR/MR, equipping me with a broad technical toolkit and the flexibility to draw interdisciplinary connections—an approach that aligns closely with iii’s innovation-focused mission.

Why MSSM?

The MSSM program at CMU perfectly aligns with my goal to advance my skills in AI-native product development and management. At a time when tech giants achieve significant breakthroughs in model performance through enormous computational power, optimization at the software management level has become a key differentiator for superior AI products. I view the MSSM program as an MBA tailored for software engineers. Being able to learn from world-class faculty, engage in hands-on internship opportunities, and connect with a diverse and accomplished group of peers greatly motivates my choice to enroll in CMU’s program.

After graduation, I would like to continue working in the domains of software engineering and AI product management. Meanwhile, I am also open to joining an early-stage startup to build niche AI-native applications and contribute to impactful projects.
