This is how to say my name:

About

I am driven by a passion for solving food insecurity. I have founded and managed two 501(c)(3) non-profits, including the Kobu Foundation, which has delivered nearly 300,000 meals and awarded over $16,000 in scholarships. My goal is to leverage data and technology to create a new business that redirects surplus food to those in need. I am committed to innovation and community collaboration to make a lasting social impact. I bring a blend of entrepreneurial spirit, technological expertise, and a strong commitment to social impact. My hands-on experience in building and implementing large-scale infrastructure with numerous cloud providers, combined with my understanding of community needs, has positioned me to drive meaningful change. During my time at the iii at Carnegie Mellon, I hope to continue to contribute these unique skills and interests to the community around me.

Why MSSM?

This world is constantly being reshaped by new technology and I believe that it is imperative to build a well-rounded foundation of skills to adapt to this change. The MSSM program offers the ability to build a versatile skill set unlike anything else I have seen at other institutions. I look forward to joining a community of people who are as passionate as I am about combining skills, education, and wisdom to drive innovation, solve complex problems, to make a positive impact in the world around us.

What type of role are you looking to obtain after you graduate?

I want to address the injustice of food insecurity - finding solutions that surround it on a global scale. I plan to use the skills that I learn in this program to assist me in building a business that connects food that would otherwise be wasted with those in need by using data collected from food banks, restaurants, and grocery stores. If I don't have the opportunity to work in this capacity, I would still love to work with a start-up where I can learn to wear multiple hats and build an impactful business.
