Bio
Carmelo R. Montalvo is a serial entrepreneur with over a decade in leadership, product innovation, and business development. Currently, Carmelo is the Chief Operating Officer at Forest Devices, Inc., a medical technology startup in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Carmelo is an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, in the university’s Integrated Innovation Institute (iii). In his role with the iii, Carmelo teaches courses focused on leadership, strategy, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies. His involvement with CMU extends beyond professorship, as Carmelo is also a collegiate football coach with the Tartan Football team, an NCAA Division III program.
Carmelo has been a guest speaker, facilitator, and panelist, speaking on leadership and entrepreneurship for other academic institutions and professional groups. Carmelo also serves on the Board of the Charles Hamilton-Houston Foundation and holds advisory board roles for several organizations.
