Bio
Ben Joos is a design leader and strategic consultant operating at the intersection of enterprise-level software design, business strategy, and user experience. He currently serves as a Principal Designer at Truefit, where he is responsible for the design and scaling of complex software solutions across diverse industries and technologies.
With an insatiable appetite for learning and a deeply curious nature, Ben has leveraged over 15 years of industry experience to collaborate, sketch, and problem-solve across the full spectrum of the design lifecycle—from early-stage branding and pitch strategy to the complete design of full enterprise software ecosystems. His design philosophy, often encapsulated as "Benergy," is characterized by a unique combination of maximum optimism, deep introspection, and a calculated, practical approach to project execution. This realistic and human-centered perspective is profoundly informed by his personal life as a dedicated husband and father.
Ben is deeply committed to contributing to the design community and fostering the next generation of innovators. He actively engages through teaching appointments at institutions like CMU, and through professional organizations such as AIGA. Some of his community contributions include serving as an Adjunct Professor in the MIIPS program, contributing to critique sessions and portfolio reviews of the next generation of designers, and is a former board member of AIGA Pittsburgh and The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon. This commitment allows him to continuously articulate complex design and business concepts to designers and non-designers, preparing people of all natures to transform creative ideas into market-ready products.
