Bio
Dr. Geoffrey Dobson is an adjunct faculty member with the Heinz College and the Integrated Innovation Institute. Dr. Dobson earned his Ph.D. in Societal Computing from Carnegie Mellon University in 2022. He has over twenty years of professional experience in engineering and technology in a variety of roles ranging from software engineer to organization director. He’s worked on software projects supporting medical devices, missile testing, data centers, and simulation.
Over the past seven years he’s been the team lead of a group working with the U.S. Army in cyber warfare research and development. Dr. Dobson has been in the Air Force for 17 years, serving as both a developmental engineer and cyber operations officer. He’s currently stationed at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson, AFB, OH where he oversees and advises on cyber modeling and simulation projects.
