Online Giving - Frequently Asked Questions

You can make your gift to CMU using credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay with the new GiveCampus platform. You can also create an account to view your giving history over time and save your payment information to make your next gift even easier.

If you are using the Safari web browser on an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac) to make your gift, you can use Apple Pay if it has been set up on that device.

To set up Apple Pay on your device, Apple provides detailed instructions on its website.

Please note: If you do not have Apple Pay set up or are not using Safari on an Apple device, you will not see Apple Pay as an option for making your gift.

Google Pay should be an option when using Chrome as your browser.

When using a mobile device, Venmo will only appear as an option for making your gift if you are using the default browser for your device’s operating system (Safari for iOS devices and Google Chrome for Android devices).

If you are on a mobile device and Venmo is not listed as an option, you are most likely using a non-native browser. Also while on your mobile device, the Venmo option will not be available when using Facebook/Instagram, or using Chrome on a non-Android phone.

Venmo should be available as an option when making a gift from your computer, but you will need the Venmo app on your mobile device to approve the transaction.

You can only make a gift via Venmo if you have the app on your mobile device. If you do not have the app on your device and select Venmo as your giving option, you will be directed to make your payment through PayPal.

If you have stored credit card information in your browser to make transactions easier, you should have the option to autofill that information after you choose “Pay with credit card.”
