Join us for Carnegie Mellon's Spring Carnival 2019 from Thursday, April 11 through Saturday April 13 on the Pittsburgh campus. It’s a weekend filled with events for every graduate and Tartan family member.

Registration Tent

Thursday: 3:30-6 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Balloon artist, face painting, coloring, allergy-friendly snacks, prizes and more — plus kids 12 and under can build and race their own LEGO® buggy on our custom-built track.

The S.C.H.E.M.E (Society of Chaotic Henchpeople Eagerly Making Evil) is about to unleash their next plot, but we don't yet know what they will try or where it will be. We need your help to infiltrate their headquarters, crack their codes, and put a stop to their dastardly plot before they unleash chaos on the world. Are you up to the challenge? This two-day forum gathers leading entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and scholars from the United States and China to address real-world challenges and opportunities in various technology and business fields. Midway, The Cut

Tickets can be purchased on Midway during Carnival or at the CUC Info Desk prior to Carnival. The cost varies per ride but most rides are between $.50 and $2. 

All-Campus Lunch

Friday: Noon-2 p.m.

Join the CMU Alumni Association as we celebrate campus sustainability at a complimentary lunch open to the entire CMU community. OM Holi 2019

Saturday: Noon-3 p.m.

The Mall

Join more than a thousand people on The Mall during Carnival for the color party of a lifetime! Come celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colors, with CMU OM! Enjoy an afternoon of food, music, performances and color throwing with your friends. Proceeds from the event go to EkalVidyalaya, a nonprofit organization building schools and other developments in rural India.

Persuasion Installation

Thursday-Saturday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Understanding what persuades you and others — how we are influenced by other people, by media, by our environment, by design — is a crucial reflective skill to develop in better understanding yourself, those around you and, more widely, society. This exhibition seeks to explore different aspects of persuasion in our daily lives. Learn more.

Old Mill Ride

Thursday-Saturday: 3 p.m.-9 p.m.

Weight Room, Skibo Gym

Built in 1901, the Old Mill was once a beloved ride at our local amusement park, Kennywood. in 2004, it was replaced by another attraction at 103 years old. This year, Carnegie Mellon's Theme Park Engineering Group is reimaging The Old Mill with a brand new look and story for our very own Carnival.

Sustainable Earth Tent

Thursday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Grass between Purnell and Doherty 

Stop by our tent to learn about the simple ways in which you can reduce waste. Find out more about the impact of waste and single use products on the environment, and how to shift your lifestyle to incorporate easy zero-waste solutions. If you don’t have one already, we will also be giving away water bottles to anyone who needs one.

University Bookstore Hours
