In 2006, she served as the president of the CMU Alumni Association’s Northeast Ohio Network and worked with several dedicated Tartans to reinvigorate the network of alumni, parents, students and friends in the area. Debbie joined other alumni leaders on the CMU Alumni Association Board (AAB) in 2010, where she served on a number of committees with the goal of connecting the global alumni community with each other and the university. She was elected by her peers to serve as AAB president and an ex-officio trustee of the university’s Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2018. Since completing her term on the AAB in 2020, Debbie has remained engaged with the Northeast Ohio Network as well as the university and also continues to show her Tartan pride through philanthropy. In 2024, Debbie was named to the Dietrich College Board of Advisors.
