Bio

Prashanth Mekala has dedicated his career to the protection and security of our country. A former Assistant Special Agent in Charge with the FBI, Prashanth’s tenure at the Bureau focused on complex counterintelligence, cybersecurity and espionage cases. He is currently an Associate Vice President at American Family Insurance in the Enterprise Information Risk Management Department.

A College of Engineering and Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy graduate, he is an expert in cyberterrorism with a focus on cyber and technology risks. Prashanth has lent his expertise as a mentor to underprivileged teenagers by assisting with the college application process through nonprofit The Opportunity Network.
