Bio

Since 1969, Prodipto Ghosh (HNZ 1989, 1990) has served in various roles in Indian government.

Today, as Secretary of India's Ministry of the Environment and Forests, he implements policies and programs to conserve biodiversity and national resources. Ghosh also led 12 Asian nations, comprising more than half of the world's population, in working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
