A Passion for Learning

CMU alumnae's online program helps young students learn how to learn

Everyone deserves a voice.

That belief inspired recent Carnegie Mellon alumnae Harshini Malli (TPR 2020) and Michelle R. Madlansacay (DC 2020) to launch PassionNet during summer 2020. This free online program is designed to help middle school students — entering sixth through eighth grades — engage in thoughtful discussions and learn more about ongoing social issues, while gaining useful skills in research and collaboration. PassionNet aims to help students learn how to join the conversation about issues affecting them, their families and communities.
