Residence
halls, apartment buildings, fraternity
and sorority houses, and special interest houses feature common
recreation rooms, computer clusters, TV rooms, mailrooms, eateries,
laundry facilities and study lounges. Everything from singles to
suites is available and dorms are either coed or all male.
A 10-year, $55
million renovation project, which includes new security locks,
updated facilities and redecorated rooms, is underway.
The Office of
Student Life, the resident assistants, community advisors and the Student
Dormitory Council are resources that help students live
safely and comfortably.
Since university
housing is guaranteed for undergraduates for four years (five for
those majoring in architecture), students can feel secure knowing
they'll always have a place to call home in the Carnegie Mellon
and Pittsburgh communities.
