Biography
LinkedIn Profile
My interest in financial markets started in elementary school when I would watch Mad Money with my dad, and by high school I had built my own stock portfolio. That interest led me to study Economics and Mathematics at Barnard College of Columbia University, where I became fascinated by using data, statistics, and mathematical models to better understand financial markets and complex economic systems. As an Economics Research Assistant at Columbia University, I spent two years working with large-scale datasets, developing econometric models, and contributing to research on the backward linkages of the mining industry in Zambia. More recently, at KPMG's Economic Valuation Services practice, I've built financial valuation models and analyzed companies across industries, strengthening both my technical and financial analysis skills while seeing how quantitative analysis supports real-world investment and business decisions. These experiences solidified my interest in quantitative finance because they showed me how rigorous analysis can uncover meaningful insights from complex data. I'm particularly interested in quantitative research and systematic investing, where I can combine mathematics, programming, and financial intuition to develop data-driven investment strategies. Outside of finance, I enjoy attending jazz performances and engaging with creative pursuits. I'd love to connect with professionals in the field to learn from their experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss how my background in economics, research, and time-series modeling can contribute to a quantitative team.
