MSCF Welcomes Shelli Faber as Associate Director of Career Services
Shelli brings more than 30 years of quantitative finance leadership, hiring, and talent-development experience to the MSCF program.
The Master of Science in Computational Finance (MSCF) program is pleased to welcome Shelli Faber as its new Associate Director of Career Services. Drawing on more than three decades of experience at BlackRock and Citi, Shelli will work closely with students, alumni, employers, faculty, and staff to strengthen career support and industry engagement across the program.
Throughout her career, Shelli built and led global quantitative analytics, risk, and technology organizations that supported investment, trading, and risk-management decisions across global markets. She also hired, mentored, and developed quantitative professionals through analyst development programs and leadership roles. This combination of industry leadership and talent development gives her valuable insight into both the opportunities available to MSCF students and what employers seek when hiring quantitative finance professionals.
“Throughout my career, one of the most rewarding parts of leadership has been helping people grow and build successful careers,” Shelli said. “Joining MSCF allows me to bring together my experience as a quantitative finance leader, hiring manager, and mentor to help exceptional students navigate their transition into an industry that has been my professional home for more than three decades. I look forward to helping students build the skills, confidence, and connections they need to thrive in quantitative finance.”
In her new role, Shelli will provide students with individualized career coaching in areas including career strategy, networking, interview preparation, and offer evaluation. She will also expand MSCF’s relationships with employers across the quantitative finance industry and collaborate with the Director of Alumni Relations on alumni engagement initiatives, including the Alumni Mentorship and Quant-in-Residence programs.
Shelli's extensive experience building global teams and hiring quantitative talent will bring an additional industry perspective to MSCF’s career services efforts. Her work will help the program continue strengthening the connections among its students, alumni, and employer partners.
“We are excited to welcome Shelli to the MSCF community,” said MSCF Executive Director Robert Simon. “Her experience, perspective, and commitment to developing quantitative talent will be tremendous assets to our students and the program.”
