Biography
LinkedIn Profile
I recently graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in Computer Science and Finance, and this fall I'll be joining Carnegie Mellon's M.S. in Computational Finance (MSCF) Program. I didn't come into college planning to pursue quantitative finance. Through internships, coursework, and personal projects, I found that I enjoyed the quantitative side of finance the most. That's why I decided to pursue the MSCF program at Carnegie Mellon. One project I spent a lot of time on was building an option pricing model in Python using Monte Carlo simulation and calibrating it to real market data. It was a great way to apply probability, optimization, and programming while also seeing firsthand how different theory can look once you start working with real financial data. Outside of school, I spend a lot of my free time playing poker and chess. I picked up poker during my gap year and still enjoy the strategy and decision-making it requires. More recently, I've become slightly obsessed with chess and built a solver to analyze positions and evaluate different lines of play. I'm currently seeking Summer 2027 internship opportunities in quantitative trading and look forward to connecting with professionals across the quantitative finance industry.
