One line from Murakami has always stayed with me: “Whatever it is you’re seeking won’t come in the form you’re expecting.” It captures what I enjoy most about markets: uncertainty, adaptation, and the search for patterns where the answer is rarely obvious. Through my past internships and projects, I realized that I enjoy turning messy questions into clear frameworks, testing ideas with data, and adjusting when things do not go as expected. That process of building, testing, and learning is what drew me toward systematic trading. In S&T, I had the chance to work across different markets and trading teams. I learned how to move between code, models, and market intuition, while thinking carefully about execution, risk, and changing market conditions. Outside of work, I enjoy poker, Dota 2, basketball, and ultimate frisbee. I like situations where I have to read what is happening, make decisions with incomplete information, and adjust on the fly. I’m always up for a thoughtful conversation about markets, a new idea to test, or maybe a game of heads-up poker.
