Biography
LinkedIn Profile
Walking along the glistening beaches of Santa Barbara, I was struck by how the seemingly chaotic waves crashing against the shore gave rise to a steady, predictable rhythm. It reminded me of the kinds of questions that have always interested me and ultimately led me to quantitative finance. At the University of California, Santa Barbara, I pursued a triple major in Statistics and Data Science, Economics and Accounting, and Mathematics. Through academic projects, I gained hands-on experience with applying statistical modeling to both cross-sectional and time series data, including sales volume, energy production, and options chain datasets. For my honors thesis, I examined market efficiency and asset pricing using econometric methods, gaining insight into how researchers approach financial markets. Alongside my coursework, I undertook the Chartered Financial Analyst program, successfully passing Levels I and II and working towards Level III. I joined the MSCF Program at Carnegie Mellon University to further develop my quantitative skills and collaborate with a passionate community of like-minded students. After graduation, I aspire to pursue a career in quantitative research or risk management that leverages my interdisciplinary background. I would be happy to meet via Zoom or in person to discuss my qualifications and how I can contribute to your team.
