Susanna is a qualitative design researcher with expertise in analyzing and designing for complex workflows in healthcare settings. Currently, she is a senior service design researcher at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine. In this role, Susanna supports the development of innovative approaches to embed AI-powered clinical decision support tools in critical care settings. At the core of this work is a mission to understand how to help clinicians reach individual and collective goals.
Susanna has a similar mission as a teacher. She has taught diverse students a variety of subjects for over a decade (Hebrew, math, pilates, design). At the Integrated Innovation Institute, Susanna has taught Experience Innovation and is the content designer and faculty member for the Product Design Innovation Certificate.
Susanna earned a Master’s degree in design from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design in 2015 and BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. With this background, Susanna is uniquely positioned to navigate the social and technical contexts that shape services and experiences.
