Anirudh Kshemendranath (M.S. ’14)
Part of a panel at the Decarbonized Mine Summit in Toronto. Anirudh mentioned one key takeaway he had was “Canada has a natural advantage in extracting the resources needed for long-duration energy storage. We also have a strong base of financing capital ready to support this transformation. However, for Canada to fully leverage this potential, stronger synergy is needed between the mining sector and long-duration storage companies. This collaboration could secure a stable supply of raw materials and unlock the capital required for commercialization—creating added value across both industries.”
