International Application & Admission Process

International student applicants follow all the requirements and procedures for EST&P admission as U.S. citizens. Complete information on the process of applying is available on the EST&P admissions webpage.

All applicants must complete and submit their application by the posted deadlines.

• If you believe you should be exempt from the English language certification requirement, you must make a formal request to the EST&P admissions committee for exemption from the TOEFL/IELTS/DuoLingo English Test requirement. This is done by sending an email to energy@andrew.cmu.edu and outlining your unique circumstances. Should you choose not to take the test without getting prior approval from the EST&P because you believe you are exempt, your application may not be reviewed by the admissions committee.
