Alumni Help Class of 2029+ Prepare to Make History
By Kate Flynn
The class of 2029+ will begin their academic journey under the banner of Carnegie Mellon’s 125th year. That means stepping into the pride and passion that have driven our community since 1900.
As this new class learns to embrace our tradition, alumni are eager to see how the newest Tartans will make history. Here are messages of advice from alumni to help the class of 2029+ prepare to build the future.
First, take classes in and engage in activities that you find interesting and have never done before! Go to class, read the syllabus, ask questions even if you think they're stupid. Use the professor's office hours! Don't worry about being valedictorian. If you don't like your major, don't stay with it! You never know where life will take you!
