Rodolfo Scannone (HNZ 2018)

Originally from Venezuela, Rodolfo Scannone is a public policy and international development professional whose work focuses on expanding educational opportunities and strengthening international partnerships. He is equally committed to strengthening partnerships within the Carnegie Mellon University community.

Rodolfo earned a master of science degree in public policy and management from CMU’s Heinz College in 2018, an experience that reinforced his commitment to evidence-based policymaking and global collaboration. Since graduating, he has remained actively engaged with the CMU community. He regularly participates in Heinz College events in the Washington, D.C. area, sharing insights on careers in public policy and international development, while advising current and prospective students as they explore graduate studies and professional opportunities. He also has supported the planning of CMU's Globally Plaid gatherings in Washington, D.C.

Rodolfo currently serves as a partnerships specialist at the Global Partnership for Education, where he leads partnerships and technical assistance initiatives focused on climate-smart education, school health and nutrition, safe learning, gender equality and education technology across low- and middle-income countries. Previously, he worked in the education division of the Inter-American Development Bank and served as curator of the Washington, D.C. Global Shapers Hub, a World Economic Forum initiative that empowers young leaders to advance local impact.

Proud of his Venezuelan roots, Rodolfo has remained closely connected to the Venezuelan community abroad and is always looking for ways to bring people together in support of causes that matter. Whether through his professional work or his volunteer efforts, he is motivated by the belief that lasting change is built through collaboration, service and strong communities.
