Half Century Tartans

Half Century Tartans embody the spirit of Carnegie Mellon.

If you earned a Carnegie Mellon undergraduate degree more than 50 years ago, you are a member of the Half Century Tartans, an honor earned by CMU's most engaged, philanthropic and accomplished alumni. Alumni celebrating their 50th reunion are invited back to campus during Reunion Weekend at Spring Carnival to be inducted into the Half Century Tartans and receive their 50th Reunion Medallion. If you already celebrated your 50th Reunion at a past Reunion Weekend, you are automatically a member of the Half Century Tartans.

All Half Century Tartans are invited to celebrate with the newest 50th Reunion inductees each year during Reunion Weekend. Half Century Tartans enjoy special access to in-person, virtual and regional programming.

We welcome you, our CMU graduates and esteemed alumni, to continue the Tartan legacy through the Half Century Tartans.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers multiple learning options, from courses to special events, to adult learners age 50 and up. In the past, applicants would wait two to three years before being invited to join, but now OLLI offers immediate membership to the CMU community.
