Add Gradescope to Your Canvas Course

1. Enable Gradescope in Canvas:
   Settings >> Navigation and Enable Gradescope >> Submit
2. In your Canvas course left navigation, find and click on the Gradescope menu item to launch Gradescope.
3. Once in Gradescope, you will see a way to link to your Canvas course.

• Click on “Course Settings” on the left course navigation menu and click the “Link” button under the Canvas Course header from the Settings page.
• You will be prompted to log into Canvas and authorize Gradescope to access your Canvas information. Click the Authorize button.
• Select your Canvas course from the drop down menu and click “Link Course”.
• Click “Update Course” to save changes.

Syncing Canvas Roster

1. From Gradescope, click on “Roster” from the left navigation menu.
2. At the bottom right of the Course Roster page, click the “Sync Canvas Roster” button.
3. From the pop-up that appears, you will see how Gradescope will sync with the Canvas Roster, the Canvas course that will link with the Gradescope course, and an option to send an email letting users know that they were added to the course. Click “Sync Roster.”
4. Students and instructors from your Canvas course will be added. If students add or drop the course, simply sync your roster again.
