Finals Muffins

Finals muffins, also referred to as “Maggie’s Muffins,” is a tradition started by Margaret Cyert while her husband, Dr. Richard Cyert, was president of the university. Maggie would bake muffins and distribute them to students as they headed to finals to assure they ate a good breakfast prior to taking mentally taxing exams.  Today, Student Affairs, in collaboration with Dining Services and Chartwells, continues the tradition by passing out free muffins during finals through funding received from Maggie.
