MSCF Celebrates International Women’s Day 2021

International Women’s Day’s #ChooseToChallenge calls upon all to recognize the challenges women face in the workplace, to oppose inequity, and to build an environment that values women’s contributions.

According to a recent article in Barron’s, “Of the five highest-paid positions at companies in the Russell 3000 index, financial services had less than 10% of women in these roles, making it the third-worst industry of 11, after energy and communication services.”

As a part of the #ChooseToChallenge effort, MSCF will be featuring throughout the month of March two female alumnae each week on our website, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Join us as our alumnae share:

  • Their roles at their companies and how they became interested in quantitative finance.
  • The challenges women encounter in their finance careers and how they overcame them.
  • The positive changes our alumnae have seen towards women’s equality.
  • Advice for women considering a career in quantitative finance.

This initiative is a continuation of MSCF’s commitment to increasing diversity and equity in the workplace. We are constantly reevaluating our curriculum to better prepare our students for success in the industry. We provide individualized career coaching and alumni mentoring services to empower women and help them obtain influential jobs post-graduation. Along with our ongoing sponsorship of the Grace Hopper Celebration, MSCF continues to search for new ways to increase diversity in our program and to support diversity efforts in the workforce.

If your organization is interested in exploring ways the MSCF program could benefit its members, we invite you to contact us and schedule a time to connect.
