TMP Doctoral Consortium

Carnegie Mellon University is proud to welcome the Technology, Management & Policy (TMP) Graduate Consortium to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the group's 2015 annual meeting.  This year the meeting with be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 22 and 23 in the Singleton Room in Roberts Engineering Hall on the CMU campus.  There will also be social activities on Sunday, June 21.

Hosted by Carnegie Mellon's Department of Engineering and Public Policy this event brings together doctoral students and advanced MS students whose research is addressing a range of problems in the area of science, technology, and public policy.  The objective is for student participants to present research papers to each other and in so doing build-up an international intellectual network among peers.  Each university decides on the number of students it will nominate for the Consortium meeting and the organizers then determine the program based on the abstracts submitted. Not everyone nominated will necessarily be invited to attend. Participating faculty assess the presentations and awards are given for the best paper(s) and poster(s).

Students wishing to make either a platform or poster research presentation must submit a title and 100-word abstract. Abstract submission closed April 27, 2015. All proposals should be pre-screened by students’ institutions both to assure quality and the availability of travel support.

Costs for Sunday’s social events, as well as meals listed on the draft agenda will be provided by Carnegie Mellon; however, costs for all other meals, travel, accommodation, and local activities outside of those mentioned on the agenda will need to be handled by the guests themselves or by the program supporting them.

To maintain the personal and informal setting of previous consortium meetings, event attendance will be limited to those institutions within the Graduate Consortium.  Participation is by invitation only.

Registration is now open. Please register by June 5, 2015.

We look forward to having a great meeting this year!
