Student Sexual Misconduct & Awareness Survey
This message was sent to individual CMU undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the Pittsburgh campus.
We are writing to invite you to participate in Carnegie Mellon University’s Student Sexual Misconduct and Awareness Survey. This important survey is designed to gather comprehensive and accurate student data on the campus climate regarding sexual misconduct, awareness and prevention. The results will guide decisions about policies, programs and resources that address the needs and challenges of our community. Using this data, CMU aims to create evidence-based interventions and initiatives that foster a safer, more supportive campus for all.
Your input is extremely valuable, and completing the survey should take less than 20 minutes using the link below. To thank you for your time and input, students who complete the survey by April 2, 2025, can choose to enter into a lottery to win more than 80 prizes.
COMPLETE THE SURVEY BY APRIL 2
CMU is committed to respecting student privacy while using data to enhance our environments and educational practices. This survey is being administered by Rankin Climate, which has conducted more than 250 campus climate assessments in the past 24 years. A committee of students, staff and faculty from Carnegie Mellon helped to refine the survey to ensure it resonates in our campus context. All reports and dashboards that CMU receives from Rankin will present aggregate data only, and all individual responses remain anonymous.
