The Carnegie Mellon University social media community consists of 200+ accounts across seven platforms — including the Student Affairs Life at CMU Instagram. Add 350+ student organizations with their unique social content. The result is a vibrant and dynamic social media community with uniquely CMU experiences and stories to tell.
And that's where Life at CMU Ambassadors come into the picture. 📸
Life at CMU Ambassadors are a network of undergraduate and graduate students who brainstorm, create and collaborate on high-quality, diverse and meaningful content for CMU social media.
What do Life at CMU Ambassadors do?
- Pitch content ideas and collaboration opportunities to create and/or participate in Life at CMU and Carnegie Mellon social content.
- Increase awareness of valuable campus resources, showcase student stories and positively contribute to the student experience and campus community.
- Share feedback on Life at CMU and the Student Affairs' social experience.
What are the benefits of this role?

How to Apply
We're currently accepting Life at CMU Ambassadors for the fall 2026 semester. The Ambassadors program is open to CMU undergraduate and graduate students. Apply online using the Life at CMU Ambassador Application Form to be considered.
Fall Application Deadline: 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026

- You are involved in organizations and communities across campus and are eager to share their stories.
- You see opportunities for what's featured on Life at CMU — and want to help showcase more.
- You are a School of Drama student looking to build a portfolio of on-camera work with a professional organization.
- You are a member or chair of your student organization who wants to showcase their student organization on official CMU social accounts.
- You are creative writer who would love to try writing for social media.
- You are a photographer or videographer wanting professional experience shooting and editing content for a professional organization.
- You live for TikTok-style videos and would love to bring trending content to CMU's social strategy.
