Workforce Development for All

Presenters and Volunteers Needed!

Staff Council is excited to announce the 26th Anniversary of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work at Carnegie Mellon University.  This year, the event will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019.  Children between the ages of 8 and 15 are invited to campus to learn about different career paths in fun, interactive sessions led by CMU faculty, staff and students.  This year's theme is  “WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT for ALL

Through the many presentations children will experience a robust and exciting afternoon.  The committee is looking for activity presenters to create and lead one or two 45-minute sessions. The first session is 1:15-2:00 and the second is 2:15-3:00.  It is a wonderful opportunity to contribute and provide a positive experience for the CMU community.  Depending on your activity/presentation and your preference, you will have either a smaller group of children (10 maximum) or a larger group (20 maximum). While most presentations are held in the Cohon University Center, we encourage and welcome you to use a classroom, lab or room in your area.

Register to be a Presenter

Staff Council is also looking for volunteers to help with registration, lunch, track guides for activities, etc. To sign up to volunteer please contact the TODASTW committee: todastw@andrew.cmu.edu
