The Staff Voice is a monthly newsletter distributed to all CMU staff members. We update our distribution list each month using information from HR to ensure that we reach everyone.   • The Staff Council Communications Committee thanks the CMU community for strong 2025 engagement

  • Winter break reminders emphasize cold-weather, building, and lab safety, and Staff Council updates.

  • SmartSpending discounts for gift shopping, a call for TES impact stories, and record-breaking 2025 Food Drive results with over $125,000 raised and goals exceeded.

  • Professional growth and community events include the Administrative Professionals Program and CMULead recognition..

  • Open Enrollment runs Oct. 27–Nov. 17, giving employees a chance to review 2026 benefits.

  • CMU’s 32nd Annual Food Drive is halfway to its $100,000 goal and still seeking donations.
