Volunteer to Help the Day of the Event

Staff Council is excited to announce the 25th Anniversary of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work at CMU. This year, the event will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018. We are always looking for volunteers to help the day of the event, please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.

Have you noticed the Human Resources website has a new look. A team of staff members representing each area of HR recently redesigned the site using the university’s new web template. The goal of the redesign was to put the focus on you, the faculty and staff members who rely on the information provided.

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, is observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. This year, Giving Tuesday is November 28 and Carnegie Mellon University is again turning #givingTuesday into #givingCMUday for a 24-hour day of giving.

113 Pounds of Peanut Butter Donated to the Food Bank

The Parking & Transportation Services office collected 113 pounds (1,808 ounces) of peanut butter during their first "Peanut Butter for Citation Payment" campaign in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon University's Staff Council 24th Annual Food Drive.
