Video Security Policy Update

The university has a rigorous process for policy development that provides for stakeholder comments at various stages, and it is common and expected for policy to be shaped and improved through the feedback process. Based on feedback received from the community to the first draft of a video security policy that would have allowed for the potential use of facial recognition tools in criminal investigations, we have decided not to move forward with further consideration of this policy document.
