Caroline (Fan) Yang graduated from UCLA in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Business Economics. During her undergraduate studies, Caroline gained a strong foundation in mathematical and statistical analysis, as well as financial knowledge. Beyond coursework, she joined a research lab where she applied machine learning methods to explore material science problems, leading to a publication. Her internship in big data and venture capital allowed her to tackle real-world problems using quantitative methods. After graduation and before joining MSCF, Caroline joined JPMorgan full-time as an investment banking analyst, where she contributed to multiple billion-dollar landmark IPOs and M&A deals, enhancing her financial analysis skills and industry knowledge in finance. She also developed strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure. At MSCF, Caroline aims to enhance her quantitative skills and expand her knowledge of global markets. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a career in quantitative research, asset management, or quantitative trading.
