Bio

Martino Gogna has a masters and bachelors of science in aerospace engineering from Purdue University where he graduated with distinction. Now, you are probably thinking, how does a degree in aerospace apply to quantitative finance? The answer is actually quite simple; the most important skills in quant finance are deep understanding in math, probability, and programming, skills that an aerospace engineer spends their entire education developing! In fact, during his time at Purdue Martino was selected to do research for the US Airforce Research Laboratory in drone autonomy; he also spent his graduate years focusing on probabilistic forecasting of advanced satellite orbits which taught him how to combine his knowledge of the three fields. This background makes Martino an ideal candidate, given his view isn't limited solely from a finance perspective. In his free time Martino loves motorsports as it gives him an excuse to let his competitive side come out. You may contact Martino at your convenience at mgogna@andrew.cmu.edu regarding any internship opportunities. Oh! You can also contact him if you ever want a helicopter ride from a licensed pilot.
