Bio

Kaiwen (Wendy) Li graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2023 with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences (Operations Research and Statistics) and a minor in Computational Finance. During her undergraduate studies, Wendy was fascinated by how probability theory and modeling contributed to valuation and hedging of various financial products. Wendy helped to optimize operations for the world’s first academic cloud lab via modeling and simulation analysis. During her quantitative research internship, she also researched on Stock/Bond Correlation to optimize portfolio allocation and devise pairs trading strategies specialized to market volatility. Wendy joined the MSCF program to further explore her interest in quantitative finance while strengthening her skillset in analytics to solve trading problems more efficiently. Upon completion of her MSCF degree, Wendy plans to pursue a career in trading or quantitative trading.
