When did you first become interested in quantitative finance?
I first became interested in quantitative finance when I learned about how derivatives were a growing area in finance and I wanted to transition into the derivatives industry.

Please share a little bit about your background and what led you to MSCF.
I am the founder of SupraFin, a smart wealthtech platform for cryptocurrencies. Prior to that I worked for 20 years in portfolio and risk analytics, complex products trading, investments, and mergers & acquisitions at tier-one financial institutions such as JP Morgan, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Moody's Analytics. I decided to get a MSCF because I was working in the mergers & acquisitions industry, but I wanted to transition into a more quantitative area of finance such as derivatives trading.

What do you enjoy most about your career?
As a FinTech entrepreneur, I enjoy making my vision become a reality, because my vision is about empowering people with technology so that they can invest like savvy professionals. I also enjoy having to wear many hats, the fast pace environment, and working in the most cutting edge part of fintech (wealthtech and cryptocurrencies).

In what ways do you see your role/job changing in both the short-term and long-term?
As my company growths and hires more people, then my role as CEO will evolve from currently focusing on many things to focusing mainly on company strategy and delegating the rest to key new company hires.

What are the top skills that are required to be successful in this field?
I believe the top skills required to be successful in quantitative finance are programming, mathematics, statistics, and finance.

How did the MSCF program prepare you for this career?
The MSCF program provides you with all of the core skills required to be successful in quantitative finance such as programming, mathematics, statistics, and finance.
