“With over 2,100 graduates around the world, our alumni are the driving force behind MSCF. Their leadership, mentorship, and engagement shape the student experience and ensure that MSCF remains at the forefront of quantitative finance,” said Robert Simon, Executive Director, MSCF.
The evening featured a fireside chat between Carnegie Mellon President Farnam Jahanian and CMU alumnus and investment icon David Tepper. We are deeply grateful to both for a thoughtful conversation exploring global markets, the rise of AI, and the interdisciplinary training needed for today’s finance professionals.
“MSCF has never stood still. It continues to evolve—deepening its connections with industry, convening experts across disciplines, and preparing students to lead in a world transformed by data and computation. It is a program built to boldly redefine the future of finance and ripe to transform challenges into successes for decades to come,” said Farnam Jahanian, President, Carnegie Mellon University.
We were privileged to feature Professors Steve Shreve and John Lehoczky, whose founding vision brought MSCF to life in 1994, and thank them for sharing their historical perspective and insights on the program’s enduring success.
The celebration concluded with a captivating performance by College of Fine Arts alumna Savanna Lee Birdsong, whose music brought warmth and energy to the evening.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. The MSCF community remains our greatest asset and the cornerstone of our next chapter.
