Academics

The BXA programs combine coursework in both creative and academic disciplines. Students who have goals that can only be achieved by integrating creative and academic work are ideally suited to the BXA programs, which promote innovative approaches to interdisciplinary topics. BXA students create new knowledge and challenge definitions. BXA students are independent, motivated and well-rounded scholars and artists.

Students bring together their two concentrations through a series of BXA seminars, a junior portfolio review and a culminating senior capstone project. BXA-specific courses provide students with guidance, structure, theory and research methods to fuse their chosen disciplines. These seminars also provide opportunities for BXA students to establish community and interact with their cohort throughout their undergraduate career.
