Will is a dedicated higher education professional and a two-time graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, earning a Bachelor's in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education and Counseling. His diverse experience in higher education includes roles in fraternity and sorority life, orientation, and residence life. Notably, Will brings significant expertise in working with fraternities and sororities, focusing on leadership development, prevention strategies (including hazing prevention and anti-hazing law implementation), awards and recognition, and data-driven assessment. His commitment extends to volunteer work with the National Safe Team for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and the Association for Fraternity and Sorority Advisors. Will's insights have also been shared through publications sponsored by the Timothy J. Piazza Center for Fraternity and Sorority Research, and he is a member of Alpha Sigma Phi.

Arielle Frederick she/her/hers
Senior Administrative Project Coordinator

Arielle started her journey at CMU in November of 2022 as the Administrative Assistant for the SLICE Office. She joined the Community Life Office in January of 2025 as the Senior Administrative Project Coordinator. She is responsible for administrative tasks and projects to support the various programs hosted by the Fraternity and Sorority Life, Office of First Year Orientation and Family Engagement, and Residential Education. Arielle graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, painting, playing with makeup, and learning new recipes.

Sarah Irvin, M.A.  she/her/hers
Coordinator for Fraternity & Sorority Life

Originally from Bellefonte, PA, Sarah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at what was originally known as Edinboro University, where she joined Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She completed her Master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Slippery Rock University in 2024, where she worked closely with the Fraternity and Sorority Life community throughout her graduate experience.

Sarah has continued to stay engaged in the fraternal movement, having volunteered with Sigma Sigma Sigma and currently serving as an active volunteer with Zeta Psi International Fraternity. Her passion for building inclusive and values-driven communities fuels her ongoing work with students and inter/national organizations alike.

Beyond her professional and volunteer commitments, Sarah is a creative at heart. She deeply appreciates art and photography, often spending her free time behind a camera lens or painting. She’s also an avid vinyl collector, always on the hunt for new records to add to her growing collection.

Sara Partin, M.A.  she/her/hers

Sara's passion for the fraternity and sorority experience is rooted in the belief that when students feel supported and connected, they can thrive both within their organizations and beyond.

Sara obtained her Master's degree in English Literature and Cultural Studies from Kansas State University in 2023, where she served as a chapter advisor for multiple fraternities and sororities and worked with Fraternity and Sorority Life in various capacities. Sara has also advised Formal Panhellenic recruitment, offered educational programming, and worked closely with leaders to help cultivate a holistic experience in their chapters.

In her free time, Sara loves to read and binge-watch reality television!

James Sparkman, M.Ed.  he/him/his

Originally from Pahokee, Florida, James traveled to the "Gorges" weather of Cornell University for his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, where he became a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. James continued his education at Rutgers University-New Brunswick and received his M.Ed in College Student Affairs. James has worked with students in a residential setting for almost a decade. James currently oversees the Greek Quad and SPIRIT House. In his free time, James enjoys cruising with his wife, visiting family, and hanging out with his mini Bernedoodle, Sapphire.
