Bio
I am a Lecturer in the Department of Statistics & Data Science, coming from a postdoc stint in University of Pittsburgh's Department of Psychiatry. I obtained all the usual degrees from the Department of Statistics & Data Science here at CMU, though my PhD, advised by Rob Kass, was jointly in Statistics and Neural Computation.
Specific Research Interests
My research has been focused on diverse neuroscientific applications, with primary focus around my interests of: estimating low dimensional latent dynamical systems, their manifestation in neuron-to-neuron correlation structure, models of neural synchrony, especially the estimation thereof in large sparse networks, and point process models of neural spiking.
