What is Data Connect?

Data Connect is a new annual event hosted by Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Statistics & Data Science that brings together Carnegie Mellon’s world-class talent and Pittsburgh’s vibrant community of innovators to explore data-driven collaboration.

• Research Symposium: CMU researchers will share insights from cutting-edge projects, highlighting how data science and statistics are driving innovation across industries, and illustrating how collaboration with Carnegie Mellon can accelerate real-world impact and create meaningful solutions.

• Education Programs & Pathways: This session showcases statistics & data science education programs with an emphasis on real-world skill sets and industry partners, including learning paths that advance data skills and deepen external expertise for professionals at all levels.

• Networking Reception: This final session moves from industry-focused programming to an interactive networking reception, giving attendees the opportunity to mingle with students, connect with professionals, share ideas, and gain deeper insight into Carnegie Mellon’s emerging talent.
