Namrata Banerjee is Senior Director, Investments and Strategic Partnerships and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. In addition to her work at Carnegie Mellon, Namrata is a Venture Partner with NextGen Venture Partners, a Scout for Hustle Fund, and a mentor with Alchemist Accelerator. Previously, she served as Venture Partner at Republic and Venture Associate at Basecamp Fund, where she focused on early-stage investing and supporting founders across AI, robotics, cybersecurity, life sciences, and enterprise software.
Before venture capital, Namrata worked with an entrepreneurship incubator in Zimbabwe supporting founders across Southern Africa. She has also founded and operated startups, taking two ventures from idea to revenue, and spent more than a decade at Rockwell Automation leading teams that delivered enterprise software and industrial automation products.
Namrata holds a B.S. in Biology and Software Engineering, an M.A. from CMUs Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children and enjoys hiking.
